Difference cursor反色跟随光标

A hand-made dot follows the pointer, always half a beat behind — it is not glued to it. Over a dark button it goes white, over a light background it goes black, like a lens that inverts whatever it passes.

When to use it

Use it on portfolios, product imagery, and anywhere the interface should feel designed. Do not use it in forms, admin screens, or anything needing precise clicks — it covers the very spot you are pointing at.

Parameters

lerp 0.12 · diameter 26–40px · mix-blend-mode difference · white fill · pointer-events none

Recipe

  1. Difference cursor → lerp 0.12 · diameter 26–40px · mix-blend-mode difference · white fill · pointer-events none

One sentence for your AI

Add a custom cursor: a position: fixed circle, 30px across, filled white, with mix-blend-mode: difference so it inverts whatever colour it covers. Do not glue it to the pointer — chase it with a lerp of 0.12 so it feels like it is following. Set pointer-events: none so it never blocks a click.
