Drifting particles粒子漂浮

A layer of small specks drifts through the frame: near ones large and bright, far ones small and dim, none of them colliding. It is neither snow nor a starfield — the specks move in every direction, so it reads as matter suspended in air. Brushing the pointer past pushes them gently aside rather than pulling them in.

When to use it

Good for spacious marketing or waiting screens that should feel alive without being loud: first screens, loading pages, the ground behind a chart. Avoid it in tables, forms and lists people read line by line — the eye follows moving specks. And do not stack it with aurora or a reactive grid on the same page; one background layer is enough.

Parameters

74 particles · depth 0.25–1 · 12px/s · per-frame integration, no easing · pointer pushes within r 95px · ≤30fps

Recipe

  1. when ≤30fps
  2. Drifting particles → 74 particles · depth 0.25–1 · 12px/s · per-frame integration, no easing · pointer pushes within r 95px

One sentence for your AI

Add drifting particles to this area: 74 small circles, each with a depth value from 0.25 to 1 that also drives its size (1–2.6px), speed and brightness, so near ones are big and bright and far ones small and dim. They travel in every direction at a constant rate and wrap around at the edges. A pointer within 95px pushes them away along the reverse direction, harder the closer it is, and gently enough to read as yielding rather than attracting. Cap the layer at 30fps and leave a single still frame under reduced motion.
